Hadith Qudsi

Hadith Abu Hurairah r.a. katanya:
Rasulullah s.a.w. bersabda: Allah s.w.t berfirman kepada Malaikat pencatat amalan: "Apabila hambaKu berniat ingin melakukan kejahatan, maka jangan lagi kamu menulisnya sebagai amalan kejahatan. Apabila dia melakukannya barulah kamu menulisnya sebagai satu amalan kejahatan. Jika hambaKu berniat ingin melakukan kebaikan, tetapi dia tidak lagi melakukannya, maka catatkanlah sebagai satu amalan kebaikan. Jika dia melakukannya maka catatkanlah kebaikan itu sepuluh kali ganda." - Hadith Qudsi -

Know your phobia

Assalamualaikum.

Do you have a phobia? Let’s see what is phobia exactly and the list of phobia.
A phobia is, when used in the context of clinical psychology, a type of anxiety disorder, usually defined as a persistent fear of an object or situation in which the sufferer commits to great lengths in avoiding, typically disproportional to the actual danger posed, often being recognized as irrational. In the event the phobia cannot be avoided entirely, the sufferer will endure the situation or object with marked distress and significant interference in social or occupational activities.

The terms distress and impairment as defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (DSM-IV-TR) should also take into account the context of the sufferer's environment if attempting a diagnosis. The DSM-IV-TR states that if a phobic stimulus, whether it be an object or a social situation, is absent entirely in an environment — a diagnosis cannot be made. An example of this situation would be an individual who has a fear of mice (Suriphobia) but lives in an area devoid of mice. Even though the concept of mice causes marked distress and impairment within the individual, because the individual does not encounter mice in the environment no actual distress or impairment is ever experienced. Proximity and the degree to which escape from the phobic stimulus is impossible should also be considered. As the sufferer approaches a phobic stimulus, anxiety levels increase (e.g. as one gets closer to a snake, fear increases in ophidiophobia), and the degree to which escape of the phobic stimulus is limited has the effect of varying the intensity of fear in instances such as riding an elevator (e.g. anxiety increases at the midway point between floors and decreases when the floor is reached and the doors open.

The term phobia is encompassing and usually discussed in terms of specific phobias and social phobias. Specific phobias are nouns such as arachnophobia or acrophobia which are specific, and social phobias are phobias within social situations such as public speaking and crowded areas. Some phobias such as xenophobia overlap with many other phobias.

10 Tips To Protect Yourself Against Computer Vision Syndrome

Assalamualaikum.

Here is some tips to avoid computer vision syndrome.

1. Move your computer monitor away from the window Extraneous light, or glare, is the greatest source of eyestrain for computer users. No matter where your computer screen is relative to a window, adjustable shades, curtains or blinds should be used to effectively control light throughout the day. Avoid facing an un-shaded window, as the difference in brightness between the screen and the outdoors may cause eye stress and discomfort. Consider an anti-glare screen to further reduce reflections.

2. Adjust your monitor height For maximum eye comfort, place the center of the screen five to nine inches below your horizontal line of sight. You should be looking just over the top of the monitor in your straight-ahead gaze.

3. Check your contacts Studies show that when looking at a computer or digital screen, people spend more time concentrating and blink less frequently (up to three times less than normal). Long periods of non-blinking can cause the surface of your eyes and contact lenses to dry out, which can lead to discomfort and loss of visual clarity. Talk to an eye care professional about lenses that provide wearers with increased moisture all day.

4. Adjust your computer display Modifying your monitor display settings can help reduce eye strain and fatigue. Alter the brightness of your display so it is the same as the brightness of your surrounding workstation. When reading long documents, modify them so they you are reviewing black print on a white background.

5. Take breaks The eyes are not meant for seeing at a close distance for hours at a time without a break. Follow the 20/20/20 rule: Take a 20-second break every 20 minutes. Focus your eyes on points at least 20 feet from your computer. Keep your eyes moving while looking at objects at various distances.

6. Adjust your monitor distance If you can touch the screen when you sit back in your chair, the monitor is too close. Use the “One Third Rule.” With your monitor on, displaying a typical document or email you use every day, move back from the screen until it just starts to become blurred. Measure this distance and divide by three; your monitor should be placed at that distance.

7. See your eye care professional For those who work in front of a computer or digital screen all day long, annual eye exams are a must. If at any time you experience any vision problems or discomfort, talk to your eye care professional.

8. Use proper lighting indoors Avoid working under overhead fluorescent lights if possible. Choose floor or desk lamps instead that provide indirect lighting. Do the mirror test: Take a pocket mirror and put it on your computer screen. If you see a light bulb or other bright source of light behind you, you need to reposition your monitor to reduce the glare.

9. Hold digital devices farther away There have been several studies that show that people hold digital material closer than they would if they were looking at printed materials, like a newspaper. The closer you hold something to your eyes, the more stress you put on them. Make a conscious effort to hold digital devices like your smart phone, farther away from your eyes than normal; adjust the settings if needed to enable larger print.

10. Affix paper documents so they are in line with your monitor Many people tend to situate their work so that they are constantly looking off to one side or flat on the table next to the screen. This requires frequently eye, head and/or torso movement to look back and forth. Affix a spring-loaded document holder to your monitor, so that the eyes can focus and converge in their normal plane of motion (i.e. down and in).

Remaja versus CINTA

Assalamualaikum. Bismillahirahmanirahim.

Kerana cinta badan binasa. Kerana cinta hilang keluarga. Kerana cinta maruah dijaja. Wahai remaja Islam! Bangunlah. Sedarlah. Perbaikilah. Tetapkanlah imanmu. Istiqamahlah dengan ibadahmu. Wahai remaja Islam! CINTA memang menyeronokkan.

Jujurlah. Tiada guna anda menjadi talam dua muka.

Beberapa hari yang lalu, aku ada membaca status facebook terkini seorang guru agama yang aku gelar Ustaz R. Ustaz R merupakan guru agama a.k.a guru disiplin sekolah aku. Tahu apa yang beliau tulis? Beliau sangat kesal akan tindakan seorang bekas pelajarnya. Perempuan. Sebaya dengan aku. Beliau berkata :

Wahai remaja Islam! Ingatlah! Sejahat-jahat iblis adalah sebaik-baik manusia. Yeah iblis memang jahat! Sebab dia mengheret kita membuat dosa melalui bisikan dan panahnya. TAPI kita perlu ingat.

Wasalam.

Do You Talk In Your Sleep?

Assalamualaikum.

Sleep talking (also known as "somniloquy") is a sleep disorder that involves unconscious talking when you're asleep. The presentation can vary greatly between people, with some spontaneously talking while others notice it happens when someone talks to them in their sleep. Sleep talking can range from gibberish, nonsensical mumbles and rants, to complicated and totally coherent statements.

Sleep talking can happen to anyone, though it does appear to be somewhat inherited and affect males and children more often than women. The most common triggers are sleep deprivation, alcohol and drug use, fever, increased stress, anxiety and depression. It is also seen as a symptom in the context of other sleep disorders: night terrors, confusional arousals (waking up in a confused state), sleepwalking, sleep apnea and REM behavior disorder.

Sleep talking can happen at any time during the night and during any stage of sleep. In the earlier part of the night, people tend to be more in the deeper stages of sleep (stage 3/4), and their brain is essentially turned off and repairing from the day's events. During this stage, sleep talking tends to sound more like mumbling or gibberish. Sleep becomes lighter as the night progresses, with our brain becoming very active, processing emotions and memories (REM sleep and sleep stages 1 and 2). During these sleep stages, sleep talking tends to be more understandable to a bed partner and can become a narrative.

Though it isn't physically harmful, sleep talking can be extremely embarrassing for people. It can also be a major annoyance to anyone nearby who is trying to sleep, even leading to insomnia in those who share the room. Patients who sleep talk may avoid sleeping around others for concern that it might disrupt someone else's sleep, and sleep talkers often worry about saying something while asleep that might be embarrassing or problematic.

Many people try to decode their sleep talking experiences, but the reality is that the content can either be completely random or vaguely linked to past or present experiences. As a result, trying to decode it may be impossible. Interesting fact: Since sleep talking happens outside of conscious awareness, it isn't even admissible in a court of law.

For most people, sleep talking is typically short-lived and doesn't require any treatment. If it is happening multiple times per week, disrupts a bed partner's sleep, or if you have fears of sleeping around others, talk with a sleep specialist to rule out any other underlying medical or psychiatric disorder that might cause or worsen the problem. If sleep talking starts after the age of 25, it can typically be seen along with other medical or psychiatric issues. In severe cases, sleep talking may be associated with nocturnal seizures.

Proper sleep hygiene (e.g. keeping a regular bed and wake time, avoiding alcohol and tobacco at night, avoiding caffeine from the afternoon onwards), obtaining a full night's sleep each and every night, and minimizing stress and anxiety are all helpful and can reduce sleep talking events. Although it usually doesn't require treatment beyond proper sleep hygiene, more severe cases of sleep talking can be helped by medications and/or psychotherapy.

Bed partners often report that silicone earplugs, a fan or a white noise machine can help reduce noise from the sleep talker. If the sleep talking is especially loud or frequent and disrupts a bed partner's sleep, it might be best to sleep in separate rooms until the sleep talking is under control. Sound sleep at night will lead to less friction between couples and boost everyone's mood.
